SAN MARCO PROMENADE PARK

Public BBQ

A well-kept riverside park with a playground including swings and a boat to climb on, free barbecues, plenty of shade, clean toilets and ample parking. It is dog friendly with room to run along the bank or in the water. The fishing is the local secret: whiting, tailor and flathead work well with burley, squid and silver lures produce at the right times, and mulloway and larger tailor come on after dark — bring a headlamp and set up before sunset. Blue swimmer crabs are abundant. The estuary's orientation makes it a protected casting spot year round. Safe and easy for a family picnic in daylight.
